Mizzou Rugby 2013-2014 Schedule
The Univresity of Missouri Rugby Team has fought a long and successful 2013 - 2014 season, ending with a loss at the National Conference.
The team began their season last August with two wins against Illinois State and Wabash College at the SIUC Turnament. They came out with a win in September against The Kansas State Wildcats at their first confrence home game. Later in September the team competed in the Heart 7's tournament, placing second overall. They came out with wins over Iowa State, Oklahoma State, the University of Kansas and Kansas State. Arkansas beat the MU Tigers to get first overall. With another win at Iowa State, the boys then headed to Knoxville, Tennessee for the SEC 7's Tournament. The team placed 6th overall with wins over LSU, Tennessee B, and Mississippi State. Mizzou Rugby ended their Fall Season with a home game win agaisnt Arkansas, who beat the Tigers for first place in the Heart 7's Tournament .
Mizzou Rugby began the Spring Season on Feburary 22 with a tie agaisnt the University of Iowa. Followed by four wins in a row from Oklahoma State, Truman State, The St. Louis Bombers, and Kansas. With nine season wins, one tie and no losses, the team qualified to compete in the National Rugby Tournament. Traveling to Bowling Green, Ohio, the team won the first game agaisnt Midddle Tennesse State with a score of 46-10. The Tigers season ended with a loss to the Bowling Green Falcons with a score of 53-10. The Bowling Green Falcons now move onto California for more of the Nationals Tournament.
